Yanshuf (Owl) Valley’s Sustainable Farm and Food Forest

Vadi Yanshuf is a unique Eco-Farm located in the heart of the stunning vineyards and orchards around the Northern town of Rosh Pina. The farm combines the growth of various cultivations such as olive groves, fig orchards, forest gardening, herbaceous plants, and more.

This is a family-owned organic farm, established about 25 years ago. The farm practices permaculture agriculture and do not use any materials except compost and water for irrigation.

The owner and head of the family is a special woman named Tal, who believes that just as our body has an immune system, so do the soil and plants – and on this basis and oriented values she created the farm from its very beginning. The integration of the various parts of the farm and the communication created between the different components create healthy soil, eliminating the need for spraying or weeding.

Due to their agricultural methods, which involve the integration of different crops, as well as leaving parts of the farm for the growth of local wild plants – the soil yields treasures and surprises – such as wild plants for oil production or spice preparation.

Visit the farm to tour and learn about the principles of sustainability, natural farming, and food forestry. Have a delicious breakfast or lunch, and enter the farm’s shop where you can purchase their handmade products. This is truely a beautiful farm, with beautiful values, located in one of Israel’s most beautiful regions.
