Eco-building & Design

Step into a living example of sustainable design and heartfelt creativity. Located in kibbutz Gonen within the Hula Valley, the Inspiration Home is more than just a house — it’s a living story of what happens when people, nature, and creativity come together. Built by hand with friends and volunteers using natural materials and various natural building methods, it embodies the principles of ecological building and sustainable living. Every wall, window, and pathway reflects a deep connection to the land and a desire to live in harmony with it.

Visitors are invited to step inside and experience an authentic example of eco-building in practice. The home demonstrates how simple, thoughtful design can reduce our footprint and create beauty through balance — using sunlight, natural ventilation, local materials, and recycled resources. Along the way, you’ll learn about greywater systems and the importance of water recycling in Israel’s arid climate, as well as the challenges and rewards of living sustainably in the country’s northern region.

The experience offers a glimpse into the heart of sustainable living — rooted in respect for nature, simplicity, and connection to community. It’s a gentle reminder that a home can be both shelter and teacher, and that inspiration often begins right where we live.
